Splendid village public house, a 16th/17th Century building with a Victorian extension and a further 20 years old addition.
As you enter from the car park at the rear of the building you pass through the patio and small porch into the main bar, a room with wood burning stove, low beamed ceiling and traditional furniture. Beyond the main bar is the games area offering traditional Northamptonshire skittles and darts, also available are dominoes, cribbage and a slate Shove Ha'penny board.
From the main bar area three steps lead into the 'Top Room' (a recently refurbished room that includes electric and candle lighting); that lends itself to being used for casual dining, small meetings and functions and Beer Festivals.
During the summer months a barbecue is available in the Beer Garden together with a floodlit French Boules piste to while away a sunny afternoon and warm evening.
A comprehensive menu covering bar snacks and more substantial meals is offered at reasonable prices, sourced locally where possible and freshly prepared available 6 days per week (not Tuesdays).
