[edit] General Description

Newly appointed as brewery tap for Potbelly

Entering the pub via the wide steps or ramp at the front of the building, there is a small lobby with access to ladies and gents toilets at either side. On the left is the Lounge which features a relaxed atmosphere and fireplace with coal-effect fire. On the right is the Bar which features a pool table, dart board, quiz machine, fruit machine, and juke box.

7 real ales on handpump at all times; one is always Hook Norton Hooky Best Bitter, the other 6 change on a regular basis. Tasting notes are provided on blackboards above the bar. An extensive collection of pump clips featuring previous beers is displayed around the bar area.

Real cider is available, usually Weston's Old Rosie. Also of note is the large selection of fruit wines.

Food is available all day until 10pm. The menu includes some "pub classics" like jacket potatoes or sandwiches, as well as a range of curries, and chilli con carne made to the Landlord's own recipe. Traditional roast dinners are served every Sunday between 12-3 (booking is recommended).
